A four-piece band playing bluegrass, western swing and country music, based in the 'Capital of Bluegrass' in Helsby, north west England. Over the years Cousin Pearl have supported acts such as Michael Cleveland, Sally Van Meter, Brian Wicklund, Steve Kaufman and Leroy Troy.

Growling Old Men
A transatlantic bluegrass supergroup comprised of Leon Hunt and Dominic Harrison from England's Daily Planet, and Ben Winship and John Lowell of America's Growling Old Men. The band has gigged throughout England and Wales and has recorded an album called Shuttle Diplomacy.
Howard has played bluegrass banjo and sung with many British bands over the years and currently resides with Deep River Band. He has a wealth of experience and placed seventh in Bluegrass Banjo at the Galax Old Time Fiddlers Convention in Galax, Virginia.
Jaywalkers are Michael Giverin on mandolin and guitar and Jay Bradberry on fiddle, guitar and vocals. They are well-known as two of the best young musicians on the British scene and together play folk tunes mixed with bluegrass style arrangements. The duo were finalists in the 2009 BBC Young Folk Award.
Originally from Maryland but now living in England, Kate is well-respected on the old-time and bluegrass circuits as a superb fiddler, banjo player and singer.
Leon is Britain's most well-known and talented 5-string banjo player. He has recorded with a host of the world's finest musicians from all genres including bluegrass, jazz, celtic and folk. Over the years he has played with Southern Exposure, Daily Planet, (more) Growling Old Men and recorded a solo CD, Miles Apart.
New Essex Bluegrass Band
Britain's most traditional bluegrass band, drawing on the works of Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and similar for inspiration. Led by Paul Brewer, they are regulars at all the major festivals and have firmly established themselves as one of the most popular bands on the scene.
